About the Breed &
Why are Rotties Surrendered?
|Lola - Lola is a 2 year old female rottweiler that was surrendered by her owners
because they couldn't have large breed dogs where they lived. Lola is a
very sweet, very silly purebred rottie with a natural tail. Lola
impressed her foster home so much, they decided to adopt her! Now she
spends her days helping out with the family business and playing with her two
Kira - Kira is a 2 year old female rottweiler that was surrendered by her owners because they couldn't have large breed dogs where they lived. Kira is a very sweet, very goofy purebred rottie with a natural tail. Kira was ecstatic to be adopted by a family in Southern Alberta complete with a feline sibling and a rottie-cross sibling!
Dru Dru is a 5 year old female who came to SARR when her owners were unable to care for her any longer. After a significant surgery and several months of rehabilitation, Dru found her forever home with past SARR dog Louie and minature Schnauzer pal, Meze. Sporting a new pink poka dot collar, Dru is looking forward to having lots of fun with her mature family, complete with grandkids to adore.
Cuba Cuba is a 2 year old male that was abandoned in a boarding kennel. Cuba has happily found his forever home with a family outside of Calgary and is enjoying being the center of attention.
Bijou - Bijou is a 9 year old female that came into our organization after her owner passed away. Bijou's past history includes being a show dog and winning some competitions; but her future now holds daily walks with her new family and playing with all the toys they have purchased for her. A great retirement home for a very deserving dog!
Loki - Loki is a 6 year old male that came into our organization after his time was up in a local SPCA. We were thrilled when Loki was adopted by past SARR adopters that live in BC and he now enjoys his daily walks and spending time with his new family, including a feline sibling!
Daisy - Daisy is a 1 year old female that came into our organization after being found as a stray and her time was up in a local pound. Daisy was diagnosed with a minor medical condition, but that didn't stop her from being adopted by a great family outside of Calgary where she is learning the ropes from her older canine sibling, Ebony.
Saxon - Saxon is a 2 year old male that came into our organization after his owner passed away. We aren't entirely sure of Saxon's past history other than he appears to have been a kennel dog at a breeder's residence. Saxon is a very sweet dog that needs lots of training and socialization - he needs someone to help him experience the world because he hasn't seen much of it in his 2 years. Happily, Saxon found his forever home with a family committed to showing him the ropes and he is thrilled to have his very own family to love!
Gitta - Gitta is a 6 year old female that came into our organization after her owner passed away. Gitta was thrilled when she was adopted by a family in central Alberta and she now spends the days helping out with the daily chores and trying to convince her family to take lots of breaks to go play fetch.
Jackson - Jackson is a 2 year old male that came into our organization after his time was up at a local SPCA. Jackson had a very poor start in life and didn't receive any training in his younger days. Jackson was thrilled when he was adopted by an experienced past rottie owner and Jackson is now thriving being the center of attention! He is learning the ropes at his new house and is trying to figure out what on earth the big animals that share his property are (horses!)
